Fashion Hacks: D.I.Y Headwrap from leggings

       Now that summer is upon us and outside is riddled with heat, the desire to do our hair in the morning just disappears and it becomes more of a burden. Head wraps are slowly but surely becoming an acceptable fashion staple and everyone's trying their hand at it... now you can too!

   
 

   Usually people would just use some fabric to construct their head wrap but you can also use your leggings. This might be a bit more of an easier method for head wrap beginners to follow. Below is a step by step tutorial that you can follow to construct your own head wrap.









You will need: 
1 pair of leggings
Bobby pins *(optional)*


To Begin:

1. Grab the desired leggings that you would like to transform.

2.  Fold the elastic waistband of the leggings inside once. This is too hide the crimping of the band when it's on your head. Fold the leggings in half (with the legs together). This reduces side bulging from the pants legs when you begin to wrap.

3.  Place leggings on head,as shown before,snugly. Make sure that your hair is all in and none is flying away at the nape. An ideal would be to place your hair up into a bun at the top of your head to minimize bulging. Once you are satisfied with the placement, cross the pants legs over each other and twist all the way down to the ends.

4. Once you have twisted all the way down to the ends, it should look like this.

5. While holding the top and the ends of the leggings securely, wrap around in a tight bun-like structure on the top of your head. Make sure that it is a wide bun-like structure and not one that is tall. This is too accommodate the persons that would've placed their hair in a bun. Persons with short hair can wrap their head wrap a bit closer.

6. Tuck the ends of the leggings underneath the bun and if you would like extra stability, use bobby pins to tuck the ends in .

7. Your finished head wrap should look somewhat like this. (Shape can vary on how tight a person is wrapping and how wide they want the head wrap to sit.)
